I downloaded my Windows 10 off the net. (BIG MISTAKE) and lesson learned. And I checked my files and they are all fine! (but I was backed up anyway so no big deal) Thanks so much! I have followed all of the directions, inserted my xp re-install disk, got to my bios, then went into recovery console and typed CHKDSK /P at the c: prompt.
