Perhaps next week you can post an article dealing with this? Been using windows ever since and haven't come across one. I can’t change the settings back as this occurs just before the option to boot into Safe mode appears. Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers (no new hard drives or controllers).

The fact that it has been running properly in Safe Mode is a good indication that this may just be a Service or startup item. If my 80GB hard drive was going "South" why can I boot normally everyday many times a day, but can't boot into safe mode ever?Thanks,StevePS I do have a disaster plan
