The first fix worked on my 2 week old Sony Vaio FW. It then easily downloaded another ~70 updates.I managed today to get SP2 downloaded and it went 100% through the installation process. As I looked around in Programs, I found that Windows did an update around 3:00AM. Windows sees it as an important system update though, so it will probably insist you install it regardless of its relevance to your system. I have a dv6625 and that specific update got my pc suck in a loop. If you call it in they will tell you exactly how to recover from this and what you should have done in advance to avoid it.

First Time Here? As soon as I uninstalled it (had to do all of this in Safe Mode) and rebooted it worked fine. about once a week i get a BLANK blue screen. This is the only place I have found with a possible solution.

Do I have to update to Vista SP2 first before I install the Hotfix or can I install the Hotfix first and then update to Vista SP2? So, I tried to re-install Windows vista, while it was loading, the bluescreen of death appeared still.Then I asumed it was a virus stuck to windows in the windows partition.Steps I by R. is there anyway around this?

Performing handsprings along with link. Despite the severity of the problems caused by this recent update, they typically do more good than harm. They all come back saying that they have a Vista 64 bit OS. When I got to list the updates, it doesn't show updates for windows, only things like office, silverlight, etc. I am now worried though, because when I called to check on my laptop, they said they were now doing updates. jst wanted ur help on another issue… i uninstalled the update..
