My external hard drive's not detected in My Computer! Not sure if that is the cause of it? I just fixed a PC that had a weird PSU problem. The HDD now can be seen and you can repair or reinstall the Windows XP SP2. Go to the System information or Drives section and see if the Hard Drive is detected in the BIOS and if its reported as the correct size? So that my hard d solved URGENT!HELP! It also might be easier to install.

Did you remove the adapter on pins from the old hard drive and put it on the new drive when you installed it. The hard drive is WDC WD10EALX-759BA1 ATA. There were no drivers availible for download becouse the drivers were uptodate. I hope this is what you need?? My system is 64-bit Win7 Enterprise Edition.
Can't find a good picture of the menu layout for that particular MoBo so Ican't say for sure if it has the HDD test capability. My laptop had a virus attack and somehow I managed to remove all the viruses. Please help..
